FOUNDATION

Dear Parents,

It has been a busy few weeks in the Foundation classroom. On Wednesday, 8th August students had an incredibly exciting day - it was the 100th day of school. The students walked around looking rather excited wearing their 100’s crowns!! They celebrated the day by dressing up to the theme of ‘Something to do with the number 100’. We also completed some fun activities around the number 100 –building a tower with 100 cups, making a paper chain, If I had 100…… a great way to celebrate being 100 days smarter! It’s amazing to see how far they have come in 100 days. There has been so much growth in their reading, writing and social development.

On this day we also celebrated and acknowledged our Foundation parents for the part they have played in supporting their children in the first 100 days of school by inviting them to join their children for activities in the class and an afternoon tea. They loved celebrating the day and felt very special.

Students also participated in activities celebrating “Science week” and “Book Week” at school.
